2026: FIRST POST OF THE NEW YEAR… DISNEYLAND in the rain

​Well a lot can be said about the rain and Disneyland in one sentence, maybe even one word.

WET. 

I went a month ago with the boys to visit their family that was in town. We thought ‘oh we have jackets, ponchos, and of course the double stroller for the little ones, we will be fine.’

Oh no not in the morning. First thing off the tram, the stroller wheel came off and broke. Lost that. We were meeting my aunt and she forgot her wallet, that’s two. Third, was by that point when we got into the park we were all soaking wet and the boys did not have proper rain gear except for one.

We ended up having my aunts bring our Disneyland ponchos and then renting a double stroller. We had to abandon the stroller, now we don’t have one anymore.

We ended up having to buy the little ones the child ponchos because even tying them up on the sides the adult ones were huge.

Overall if you are going to do Disneyland in the rain have 2 or more adults per kid. The cousins left early so I had all 4 boys, not fun because the youngest does not like riding rides and the 5 year old can’t go without an adult.

FUN!!

Los Angeles to Sydney Feb 4- Feb 6

 Los Angeles to Sydney…what a couple of days! Tuesday, Feb 4, 2025 Tuesday morning, I got up, and Lori and I did our usual routine of going to Disneyland. All the cast members were shocked to see us because they knew we were heading to Australia for our Disney cruise. We then went home, and of course, I had to repack everything to ensure I had everything since I was always packing and repacking down to the last minute—courtesy of a little bit of OCD that I have. We then headed to the airport…hoping we didn’t forget anything… still hoping that, as I’m writing this the day after we arrived in Sydney. When we arrived at the airport it was super easy to check-in. We flew business class on Air New Zealand, which was really nice. They were very friendly and they even liked the Disneyland chocolate bars we gave them. We then flew to Auckland. When we arrived in Auckland, we went to the business class lounge.
