Officially 32 days until Japan...why haven’t I started a packing list?!

If you know me, when I go on a trip I have to constantly pack and repack over and over and over. It's not easy for me to just pack whatever is in my closet. I have to write out a list of what I am going to wear each day. So for my net trip which is to Japan and then the cruise to Hong Kong, I have already started a packing list and the trip is 31 days away. I know you are probably thinking and saying just pack and then wash, which is what my Tia Teri, says. That is not easy for me to do sometimes. I'm really excited to go on this trip, but the other thing is packing all my ears without damaging them is a difficult thing for me to process. Since I have already started my packing list, as i keep just a generic long trip list and a short trip list, it's easy to have a basic idea of what to bring. My next major issue is the weather. Since the weather can change constantly it is difficult for me and I sometimes get frustrated. So, even though I start early, I am always down to ...

Jan 2: Knott’s Berry Farm

Image
Day 2 of theme parks in the rain… This time we ventured over to Knott’s Berry Farm with the boys, their mom, and some friends of ours. Everybody except for myself and a few others were there from 10-10. The rest of us showed up around noon. I finally entered the park at 1 pm. I accomplished 3 rides alternating who sat with the little ones when the older kids went on the bigger rides and 2 shows. We had two meals in the park, Coasters Diner and Panda Express. Using our food pass which is a great deal, if you plan it right. The rides we rode were the Beagle Express Railroad in Camp Snoopy, Calico Mine Ride and Ghost Rider in Ghost Town. The shows we watched were Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas and ‘Tis the Season Tree Lighting. We also watched the snow fall, Snow and Glow from Ghost Town. Overall it was a successful day. We finally got a replacement stroller, picked up in the morning on my way to Knott’s.

Do or Do Not, there is no try… Disneyland in the rain with the boys November 2025

It started out with us knowing and preparing for rain. What we didn’t expect was it to feel like a hurricane was how the boys described it. We got up to the park, got the stroller out of the car to realize the wheel fell off. Not thinking anything about it the wheel went right back into place. I loaded the little’s into the stroller and we proceeded to head to the park. Teri, then told us that she forgot her pass to get the three younger boys in, so we had to walk around world of disney with a broken stroller, hahaha! When we finally got into the park after renting a double stroller and a locker, we proceeded to meet up with the rest of the family.

2026: FIRST POST OF THE NEW YEAR… DISNEYLAND in the rain

Well a lot can be said about the rain and Disneyland in one sentence, maybe even one word. WET.  I went a month ago with the boys to visit their family that was in town. We thought ‘oh we have jackets, ponchos, and of course the double stroller for the little ones, we will be fine.’ Oh no not in the morning. First thing off the tram, the stroller wheel came off and broke. Lost that. We were meeting my aunt and she forgot her wallet, that’s two. Third, was by that point when we got into the park we were all soaking wet and the boys did not have proper rain gear except for one. We ended up having my aunts bring our Disneyland ponchos and then renting a double stroller. We had to abandon the stroller, now we don’t have one anymore. We ended up having to buy the little ones the child ponchos because even tying them up on the sides the adult ones were huge. Overall if you are going to do Disneyland in the rain have 2 or more adults per kid. The cousins left early so I had all 4 boys, n...
