Los Angeles to Sydney Feb 4- Feb 6

 Los Angeles to Sydney…what a couple of days!

Tuesday morning, I got up, and Lori and I did our usual routine of going to Disneyland. All the cast members were shocked to see us because they knew we were heading to Australia for our Disney cruise. We then went home, and of course, I had to repack everything to ensure I had everything since I was always packing and repacking down to the last minute—courtesy of a little bit of OCD that I have.

We then headed to the airport…hoping we didn’t forget anything… still hoping that, as I’m writing this the day after we arrived in Sydney.

When we arrived at the airport it was super easy to check-in. We flew business class on Air New Zealand, which was really nice. They were very friendly and they even liked the Disneyland chocolate bars we gave them. We then flew to Auckland.

When we arrived in Auckland, we went to the business class lounge. We did this at LAX as well. Now, this is one of my favorite perks of flying business class. Mom and I did this when we went to China. But they have lounges in most of the airports, which have food and coffee (which was desperately needed), chairs to relax in, showers if needed, and just a quieter atmosphere than the hustle and bustle of the rest of the airport.

Thursday, Feb. 6

We have arrived in Sydney

We went through customs in Sydney very easily and quickly. Then we got an Uber to our hotel. When we arrived, we were a little bit early to get into the room, so we purchased a BigBus pass to explore Sydney for two days. We decided not to get off the bus today, so we just enjoyed seeing all the sights from the top of the bus. We plan to go again tomorrow and maybe get off.
