Friday, February 7, 2025 - Sydney Sightseeing

Exploring Sydney has been a lot of fun so far. Lori and I started off with a nice breakfast and awaited Teri and Karen’s arrival. We are then joined by Teri and Karen for some sightseeing.

We then stopped at the train station for some lunch and then went back to the room because Teri wanted to rest…I mean she was falling asleep while we were making plans last night before dinner… 😂😂 Every time we would ask her something her response was “Huh…what?” It was funny and a little annoying.

For dinner we ended up walking around our hotel area and looking for a restaurant that was still open. We found a mall and walked around there for a little bit and did some shopping but they closed early. So we finally settled on a place called The Grounds.

Coincidentally the table area we sat in the server is French and he saw some of our Disney attire and asked if we were here for the cruise. We said yes and started talking to him and he told us he worked in Epcot at Walt Disney World. Teri and Karen told him that they worked at Disneyland in California.

And we have to be careful when riding that hop-on hop-off bus the sun is brutal and I already lost the sunscreen and forgot to buy more…Overall it was another fun relaxing day and we can’t wait for the 8th.

​ Some awesome set designs and merchandise can be found while hanging with Bluey and the gang for the best day ever Bluey’s Best Day Ever does seem to draw a crowd so I recommend getting here early and if you come for the 12:10 PM show I would suggest mobile ordering ahead of time from troubadour tavern (they have the best baked potatoes) Live music and dancing and stage seating for the children Fun event for the whole family definitely recommended for a nice break in the day A negative about it is that it was so loud for the music that we could not hear the people talking even though they had microphones so I would recommend sitting near the back of the theater

Los Angeles to Sydney Feb 4- Feb 6

 Los Angeles to Sydney…what a couple of days! Tuesday, Feb 4, 2025 Tuesday morning, I got up, and Lori and I did our usual routine of going to Disneyland. All the cast members were shocked to see us because they knew we were heading to Australia for our Disney cruise. We then went home, and of course, I had to repack everything to ensure I had everything since I was always packing and repacking down to the last minute—courtesy of a little bit of OCD that I have. We then headed to the airport…hoping we didn’t forget anything… still hoping that, as I’m writing this the day after we arrived in Sydney. When we arrived at the airport it was super easy to check-in. We flew business class on Air New Zealand, which was really nice. They were very friendly and they even liked the Disneyland chocolate bars we gave them. We then flew to Auckland. When we arrived in Auckland, we went to the business class lounge.
